Where can I learn Japanese? Where can I study English as a second language (ESL)?
One part of the challenge for the native English speaker is that written Japanese contains perhaps 50,000 separate characters (KANJI), each of which may be read multiple ways and may be combined with other KANJI and with HIRAGANA and KATAKANA syllabaries in many ways to form Japanese words.
Whether your aim is to become fluent, or to simply pick up some useful phrases, this page has the resources necessary to get you started.
